About the brand...
Ice Cream was born as a sister brand to the Billionaire Boys Club clothing line by Pharrell Williams and Nigo.
The Ice Cream brand was originally the sneaker division, with the shoes manufactured by Reebok in very limited quantities.
The original Ice Cream shoes made their first appearance in late 2004/early 2005 and by mid 2005 all the 'flavours' were available.
Using symbols as the designs, the shoes were released in three colourways for each flavour; Diamond Dollars, Money Rolls, Mini Diamond Dollars, Beepers and Dice for men, with Teddy Bears, Name Chains and Lipstick flavours for the ladies.
A few, very limited, special editions were released in collaboration with the Paris boutique, Colette. The design chosen was the very popular Diamond Dollar design, but in three new colourways and limited to just 50 pieces each.
A fourth limited variation was soon released in the London BWS in a silver colourway.
Boombox flavour Ice Creams have also been seen around but have only been available in very small numbers.
Since the brands re-launch in late 2005, the emphasis has moved away from footwear and slightly more colourful clothing, when compared to BBC items, have taken over.
The unlimited Boarflip shoe was released in mid-2006 to a mixed reaction. The Boardflip II was released in early 2006.
